What is Qube'm?

Qube'm is a music/video queuing web-app for YouTube, allowing you to build up a queue of songs/videos using a modern, user-friendly interface. With great and unique features from searching YouTube directly from the app, to adding videos to your personal favorites, and allowing friends to add to your queue.

Features

• Queue songs/videos from YouTube in a pleasant, easy to use interface.
• Your queue keeps playing while you're searching more songs or doing other things.
• Search YouTube directly from the app or copy/paste videos links.
• Mark videos/songs as favorite to easily find/queue them later on.
• Allow friends to add songs to your queue from their own devices.
• Drag & drop, on the fly queue sorting using a mouse or touchscreen.
• Works on any device with a modern browser; computers, smartphones, tablets, etc.

Future Plans

These are features I would like to add in the future. It may be that some or all functionality of such features is not possible, so some of these features may never be implemented. To follow any updates visit PiterJ.nl.

• Persistant playlist. Queue acts like playlist, can be shuffled and saved.
• Autoplay. When queue is ended, play YouTube recommended or random favorite.
• Android, and maybe iOS, native app. Not needing to run thru your browser.
• YouTube account intergration. Accessing your YouTube Likes & History.
• Support for other (video)platforms. Only on great demand.

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to take back control over what music they're listening to.

Scenario 1:

You are working from home on your computer. Radio DJ's annoy you with their silly games and play the same songs every day. Your streaming services half the time recommend songs you don't like, having to skip all the time. You just want top listen to your favorites songs without being distracted all the time.

So why not build your own queue of favorite songs you'd like to hear today? Add or remove songs whenever you want, re-order your queue on the fly, mark songs as favorites for later ease of finding them. That is where Qube'm comes in!

Scenario 2:

It's your birthday and you're throwing a party for all your friends. Obviously you need some music playing, no problem, lots of ways to do that. Now one of friends has a request for a song, alright, you play it. Now before you know it everyone has a favorite song they'll want to hear and you're becoming a DJ instead of the party host.

If only there was a way to have a queue of your favorite music playing and all your friends could easily add their own favorites to this queue, from their own smartphone. Then you can focus on being the host and having fun. That's where Qube'm Party Mode comes in!

What is party mode?

As soon as you've opened up Qube'm, your queue is ready and you can start playing music. Great!
However, now you're having a party and everybody has a favorite track they'll want to hear and unless you're a DJ, you don't want to spend your evening playing other peoples requests. You want to party with your friends! That's where party mode comes in, all your friends can put their own favorite tracks in the queue whenever they want, from their own device, and Qube'm will play them!

How does it work?

Whenever one of your friends opens the link above on their own device they'll get access to the same queue as you have here. The only difference is, they can only search, add, sort or remove tracks, they won't see or hear the music being played on their side, they can't control the playback of tracks and they can't change your settings. A nice plus for them is that they do have access to their own Qube'm favorites.
On your side nothing changes, you are the host and in control of the playback while still enjoying all the features Qube'm has to offer!
